Club Policies

Running clubs require policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of their members, comply with legal requirements, and minimise conflicts.

Safety

Clubs have a legal duty of care to their members and are responsible for ensuring that all club activities are safe. This includes managing risks, ensuring that premises and equipment are safe, and providing first aid and emergency procedures.

Safeguarding

Clubs must protect children, young people, and vulnerable adults from harm. This includes having a safeguarding policy and reporting procedures in place.

Legal Compliance

Clubs need to comply with legal requirements, such as the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Member Engagement

Policies and procedures can help members understand how the club operates and how they can contribute to its success.

Conflict Resolution

Policies and procedures can help minimize conflicts and ensure that decisions are made in the best interests of the club.
